Spot treatment with tea tree oil

Since it’s a very strong essential oil, dilute it in water in the 1:9 ratio, 1 being the oil and 9 being water. Dip some cotton into this solution and apply liberally on the infected areas. And repeat this process 1-2 times a day for visible results.

Apply a solution of apple cider vinegar

Apple cider vinegar contains organic acids that help in killing the bacteria that causes acne and effectively reduce the appearance of acne. Make a solution with one part apple cider vinegar and 3 parts water and apply the mixture to skin after cleansing it. If you have sensitive skin, then dilute the solution a little bit more. It can sting a little because of its acidic nature so be careful while diluting and applying.


Aloe Vera to the rescue

Aloe Vera gel is effective in treating most of the general skin conditions. It can heal burns, wounds and some infections. If you have an Aloe plant at home, then directly scrape out some gel from it and apply as a moisturizer twice a day.


Put green tea to good use

Green tea doesn’t only benefit when you drink it. This tea is rich in antioxidants that can help in killing the bacteria when applied on the skin. Put a little amount of tea in boiling water and keep it for 3-4 minutes. Allow it to cool and then apply on the skin with a cotton ball or spray it over. Keep it on till it dries and then rinse with water.

Mask it up with honey and cinnamon

Honey and cinnamon are another two ingredients that are rich in antioxidants. These antioxidants fight the bacteria on the skin and reduce inflammation on the skin with acne. For this mask, mix 1 teaspoon cinnamon with 2 teaspoons of honey to form a paste. Apply this mask after cleansing and leave if to 10-15 minutes till it dries. After this, rinse the face with water and dry it gently.
