5 Uniquely dressed stars at Oscars

Here we present top 5 uniquely- dresses personalities who absolutely rocked the res carpet this Oscars, from protesting for women to representing their love for favourite stars.

1- Natalie Portman staging a silent protest 1- Natali

Hardly anyone mentioned it in the past month that no women were nominated for best director at the Oscars this year.

But Natalie Portman decided to give the worthy women, due recognition. So, she wore a black gown, with the surnames of the women embedded, whom she thought would have been eligible in the category.

The names embedded, included: Lorene Scafaria (who directed Hustlers), Lulu Wang (The Farewell), Greta Gerwig (Little Women), Marielle Heller (A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood) and Melina Matsoukas (Queen & Slim).

2-Billie Eilish with her Coco accessories 2-Billi

This oscars, Eilish rocked the red carpet with her love for Coco Chanel. She wore a white jacket along with hairclip and band of chanel. Her big nails added to her look, which probably made it one of the most memorable looks this oscar. Ever her lacy fingerless gloves were labelled with “Cha” and “Nel”.

3- Spike lee paid tribute to Kobe Bryant

Director Spike Lee dressed touchingly, honouring Kobe through his outfit.

He got Kobe’s jersey number 24 emblazoned on his Gucci suit, of purple colour with gold piping which represented the Lakers, Bryant’s team .
The number was displayed both on the lapels of his suit jacket and on his upper back, while he opted for orange Nike trainers to complete the look.

4- Sandy got it signed

 

Now a days, the trend of taking autographs has changed to selfies, with the popular personalities.But, costume designer Sandy Powell wanted as many signatures as possible from the A-listers in attendance, to raise money by auction for her close friend and mentor Derek Jarman, the artist and LGBT activist who died in 1994

5- The sustainably dressed

Concerns for environment has been brought on spotlight by few designers and hollywood personalities by wearing eco-friendly apparel on Oscars.

Joaquin Phoenix won Stella McCartney’s tuxedo like every award season.

Meanwhile, Booksmart star Kaitlyn Dever wore a Louis Vuitton dress made with tencel, an eco-friendly fibre.
Saoirse Ronan’s Gucci gown featured a V-neck bodice made from black satin left over from the dress she wore to last weekend’s Bafta Film Awards
