What is Detoxification?

Detoxification is a process of fasting, cleaning and nourishing your body. The process is beneficial in eliminating the toxins from human body and implied with an aim to improve health. The process of detoxification is carried out by following a specific diet that may help flush out the toxins from the body.

Does my body require Detoxification?

The process is mainly carried out when a person feels that he or she is suffering from a weak immune system, digestion issues , irregular menstrual cycle etc.

Ideally, a person should do the process at least once a year to keep the body clean.

However, a person with major health issues like cancer, children or pregnant ladies should not perform it.

How to Detoxify body?

The process of detoxification goes in 3 step

1-Resting the body by fasting

Stop consuming saturated fats, cigarettes, alcohol, refined sugars and coffee which are an obstacle to the cleaning process. By avoiding these products, you will ease the process of eliminating toxins from your body.

2- Flush-out toxins

There are various ways to remove toxins from your body. You can follow any of these that suits you.

1- Fresh juices

Stay on a juice fast for 2-4 days. (Drinking fresh fruit and vegetable juices and water)

2- lemon water

Lemon is a great source of Vitamin C which is a blessing to skin and balancing PH level which benefits the immune system.

Starting your day with warm lemon water will help cleanse your system by flushing out toxins.

3- Brown rice

To cleanse your system, it’s best to cut down your processed food consumption and supplement your diet with whole grains. Brown rice is an excellent option. It’s fibre-rich properties and richness of detoxifying nutrients including B vitamins, magnesium, manganese and phosphorous will help cleanse the liver as well as improve complexion.

4- Green tea

Your Detoxification process is incomplete without regular consumption of Green tea. Green tea is not only a weight-losing drink but also a booster. It is high in antioxidants that help release out toxins and protect liver from diseases.

5- Beetroot

For a quick healthy boost of nutrients, you won’t find a better option that beetroot. Packed with magnesium, iron, and vitamin C, it’s great for skin, hair and cholesterol levels. Additionally, it helps support liver detoxification, making it an ultimate detox food. You can enjoy its benefits by adding raw beetroot to salads or drinking beetroot juice.

3- Eliminate Stress

Remove all kinds of stress from your body. A stress-free body will definitely help expedite the process of Detoxification. Performing yoga and exercise can prove to be the best ways for eliminating mental stress.

4- Follow a balanced diet

Once you feel that the toxins of your body have flushed out, you need to serve it nutritional food.

After this process, you should cut down carbs and saturated fat and aim at a balance diet. A balance diet is one that includes all nutritional elements in the right amount.
