The trend of collecting quantities of clothes in wardrobe and never repeating clothes is what the rich class people tend to do.
But now, buying and wearing minimum clothes has taken over the fashion. From Meghan Markle repeating clothes to Joaquin Phoenix wearing same outift through red carpet season , sustainable fashion has started to prosper. And, isn’t it even true that we only wear 20% of our outfits on daily basis. Those are our all time favorites and those which we can rely on, any and everytime. Those 20% are truly the most comfortable and stylish ones, that actually suits our personality.
Shouldn’t we spend more bucks on them instead of buying ‘n’ number of clothes that never even comes out of wardrobe?
Fashion industry is one of the most polluting industries today. Fast and affordable fashion is a leading factor contributing to land and water pollution.
It’s time that we should focus on quality and not quantity. It’s time to have a capsule wardrobe, one which has clear and sorted compartments making it easier for us to choose outfits. Let us accept that no one spends an hour selecting apparel for everyday.
So how to shop those ‘few and best’?
Whenever you go to shop next time, ask yourself these questions:
1- Will this piece be among my 20% (that is all time favorite.)
2- Is it time type of cloth i feel comfortable in?
3- Does it suit my personality and will look good on me?
4- Will the trend last long?
When you get a positive reply for all the above questions, shop for it. It will definitely save your budget as well as the environment.
