5 best apps to treat insomnia and help you sleep

Getting a good night’s sleep is essential for our bodies to function efficiently and yet many of us do not sleep properly at night. Sleeplessness can be caused by many factors like stress and anxiety. Over the years we have tried various methods to get a sound sleep but it still doesn’t seem to work out. Pzizz is an app with customisable durations of the sessions. It lets you set a timer and plays a variety or soothing and calming music and sounds to help you sleep. The app has a few free features and a seven day free trial but the paid version lets you select a number of other features like the sounds of your choice and other advanced features. It also comes with a built in alarm.

Sleep time helps you understand your sleep cycle and quality by helping you monitor it. The app features an advanced wake up optimisation algorithm and monthly and weekly sleep cycle analysis. It also comes with built in alarms, whit noises and soundscapes.


Slumber is an all-in-one app for a combination for various experiences to help you fall asleep. It features meditation based, storytelling and other sessions with calming sounds to relax you for sleep. You can also choose background tracks that keep playing for long even after the sessions are over and keep adding new sessions and stories each week to offer you variety.

While most of the apps are better in the paid version, the price is not too much to pay to improve your sleep and feel physically and mentally refreshed.
