US President Donald Trump has finally adjusted his tone regarding the reopening of the American economy after the receding of the coronavirus pandemic. Trump, who was sounding very nonchalant previously by rhetorically stating that the State governors were no authority on the issue has now sought their cooperation.
Admittedly, the US has borne the brunt of the Coronavirus with the country suffering the majority of cases. In addition, it has also suffered over 30000 deaths. Obviously, the economy has been devastated and many Americans have been losing their jobs for a while.
As and when the lockdown goes, the economy needs a vital reboosting package. Trump is already focusing on opening the gates of the economy in areas where the disease is decreasing in numbers. The final decision has been left to state governors who will analyse the condition of their region.

WHAT DID DONALD TRUMP SAY ABOUT RECOVERING FROM THE CORONAVIRUS PANDEMIC?
Donald Trump announced that the country will undergo a three-phased process in the areas where numbers are decreasing. This means that the economy will reopen in three phases of 14 days each. However, that doesn’t mean all social distancing norms will be flouted. They may need to remain even till this year ends and the new year officially starts.
“We’re starting our life again,” Trump said during his daily press briefing. “We’re starting rejuvenation of our economy again.”
He added –
“This is a gradual process.”

“We are not opening all at once, but one careful step at a time,” Trump said during the White House briefing.
While he had a very hard stand on not providing any breathing space to the governors, also calling himself the ‘total’ authority on when the economy opens again and the production work restarts, his stand saw a sudden softening this time around.
According to an audio recording obtained by The Associated Press news agency, Trump told governors –
“You’re going to call your own shots.”
“We’re going to be standing alongside of you.”
The new signs of cooperation by the US President Donald Trump are certainly hopeful for the country in the coming times.
