DOES GHEE AIDS WEIGHT-LOSS OR MAKES YOU FAT?

When we think of the term ‘weight loss’, we imagine cutting down on fat, and ghee or clarified butter is the first thing that we look ahead to boycott. But is ghee that bad? Should you totally avoid ghee when on a weight-loss journey? Read ahead to know.

Ghee or clarified butter in fact aids weight loss journey so it should be a part of your diet even if you are looking to lose weight.

This is because ghee is rich in Omega 3 fats (DHA) and Omega 6 (CLA), which is known to reduce the fat mass, therefore helping in weight loss.

So ghee isn’t a culprit for your extra chubby or weight, in fact it can prove to be wonderful in making you shed that.
Apart from aiding weight loss, ghee offers various health benefits.

It is believed to nourish joints, therefore improving the absorption of fat-soluble nutrients. Ghee also has anti inflammatory properties and it keeps the skin smooth.

It is rich in heart-healthy fats, that doesn’t cause heart diseases or high cholesterol, thereby reducing chances of heart attacks.

To conclude, Ghee or clarified butter has various health benefits including aiding weight loss. However, excess of anything is bad. Similarly, consuming too much of ghee isn’t good. You can have upto 2 teaspoons of ghee everyday without risking weight gain.
