Easiest way to prepare DIY wax

While there are various ways to remove body hair, waxing remains as one of the most common and effective one. The best part about waxing is that it removes hair from roots and doesn’t promote re-growth. Though you can easily get cold or hot wax in the market, you can prepare it at home instantly without using any chemicals and thus prevent skin allergies. And of course it’s gonna be more economical and better quality.

So, here’s how you can make your DIY wax:

-1 cup white sugar

-1/8 cup lemon juice (or apple cider vinegar)

-1/8 cup warm water


– Take a vessel and add all the above mentioned ingredients in it.
– Give the mixture a boil on high flame. Make sure you keep stirring it to avoid it from sticking to the surface.
– As and when the mixture starts bubbling, reduce to medium heat and continue to stir.
– When the mixture turns golden brown, remove the vessel from flame. The consistency of the sugar paste should be similar to a hot syrup. If it’s thick like honey, heat it a little longer to get it to the required level.

You can use it with DIY wax strips that can be made by using a cotton or old jeans cloth in the same manner as you use an ordinary wax strip.
