Facebook interrogating user’s trust even after data loss

The plus point or a great news about the Facebook infraction is that it has influenced lesser people when compare to previous Facebook data breach. The unpleasant news for the Facebook users is that the information that has been leaked or being theft was quite private. This affected almost 14 million people.

Facebook had a press call to debate new information about the contravention. Around 30 million accounts information had hacked by hackers and among those 30 million users account hackers have accessed contact details of almost 14 million users. Supplementary data hacked by hackers that includes gender details, religion, user location and system information that has affected 15 million of Facebook users. Therefore, rest 1 million user are still in safer zone as hackers did not access any details from 1 million user’s accounts.

On the other hand Will Oremus tweeted stating that “In case of password theft, change it. The damage is done and you move on. But if your identifying personal information is stolen? You can’t change that. It could haunt you for the rest of your life.”

FBI team has asked Facebook Company not to reveal them the name of the suspected company. Regardless of this, FBI team will investigate the main culprit so that necessary actions takes place. After the long period of time span, entire data may be rupture. Due to which some security researchers call on companies to accumulate minimal amount of information about their users which will lead to shrink the harm.

Finally to summarize this Facebook will shrug off this contravention since, initially it has many privacy swing. However, once the trustworthiness goes, it’s hard to retrieve. However, Facebook has openly revealed about the breach. This is an instance where they have regained the trust among their users. But the breach has anyhow affected elsewhere in the company and that will very often undermined them.
