But don’t worry. All you have to do is just clean your charging port.

3 Tips for a cleaner Charging Port :-

This shouldn’t be an issue for you because we’ve saved all your time and money in order to give you 3 easy tips to clean your iPhone’s charging port. Also, as a bonus, it can all be done at the comforts of your own house rather than travelling to the Apple store.

Tip #1: Use a Toothpick / Straightened Paper Clip – 

What you need – Toothpick or straightened paper clip and a flashlight.Charging port toothpick

Now follow the steps mentioned below –

1) Turn off your iPhone.

2) Hold your iPhone such that it faces up.

3) Scrape against the back wall of the port slowly.

Keep scraping until you’re not pulling out any more debris. However be extremely careful while using the toothpick, you may tend to damage the charging port which would be a serious problem.

Tip #2: Use Compressed Air –

What you need – An Air Can.

Now follow the steps mentioned below –

1) Purchase an air can. Make sure it comes with a small straw which can be attached to its nozzle.

2) Connect the small straw to the air can.

3) Position the straw on the end of the charging port.

4) Blow few short blasts into the charging port. The blast should not last for more that 1–2 seconds.

5) Repeat the blasts several times.

However DO NOT blow into the port yourself! Because wet, hot air from human mouth may spoil your port altogether. Hence, make sure to always use an air can.

Tip #3: Rubbing Alcohol –

What you need – 70% Isopropyl Alcohol and Charging cable.

Now follow the steps mentioned below –

1) Pour some of the alcohol into a small container.

2) Dip the charging cord into the alcohol.

3) Plunge the charging cord in an out of the charging port.

4) Re-dip the charging cord and repeat step 3.

5) Clean the charging cord with a tissue and allow the port to dry.
