Life seems too busy for someone who’s building something of their own. With all the unpredictable work hours, maintaining a routine is always a struggle. More often than not we end up compromising with health and fitness without even realizing it. Here are a few simple tips to stay fit and healthy during the chase.
Watch your steps
Since a large amount of time is spent talking on the phone, it can be seen as an opportunity to get on your feet and take a little walk around. This one little habit can help relax your tired muscles from sitting in one position the whole day. In the long run, it can also help avoid having back problems caused by sitting for long hours.
Fight, not flight
Taking stairs instead of using the elevator when you have lesser floors to climb will help you with a little cardio in your routine. After all, spending five extra minutes is not that big a cost to pay for a healthy heart.
Following a diet seems like a struggle when you’re working too hard but keeping a check on eating right is comparatively easier. Pay attention to the type of food you eat and don’t forget to include all the nutrients required by the body. Though eating on time could be a task because of the busy schedules but that deserves to be prioritized for proper functioning of the body.
It is suggested to drink 10-12 glasses of water every day but many of us are guilty of not keeping up to that. It is important to stay hydrated throughout the day as dehydration does not only have adverse effects on the body but also on the mind. It can mess with the concentration and also lead to dizziness.
Workout at least 3 times a week
Taking time to work out every day might not seem possible but make sure to work out at least thrice a week. It can be done on alternate days. The two important types of training to be focused on are resistance training and cardiovascular training. You can choose your area of preference as you do not particularly need to go to the gym to work out. You can also go for a jog at the nearby park or even work out at home.
Set up a sleep schedule
Getting an uninterrupted 6-7 hours of sleep is essential for the human body to function. Sleep deprivation can lead to stress and lack of concentration during work. It can also have other adverse effects on the body. Set up a sleep schedule, stick to it and don’t forget to put your phone on silent.
Focusing on the health is as important as focusing on the wealth as a person cannot achieve anything much if the body and mind do not cooperate.
