Loaded with protein, sprouts is a highly nutritious breakfast option. The best part about it is that you can easily prepare it at home and need not to buy them ready made. To prepare sprouts at home, you don’t even necessarily need a sprout maker. Sprouts can be prepared out of many whole foods. Green gram or moong dal sprouts are quick-to-make, delicious to eat and healthy to body.
So, here’s how you can make green gram sprouts at home:
1. Take one bowl of green gram in a bowl and wash it thoroughly for 4-5 times to ensure that the polish and chemicals fall off.
2. Now put some water in the bowl and fill it upto 1 inch above the lentils.
3. Close the lid and keep it untouched overnight.
4. Open the link and drain the excess water if left.
5. Now wash it one more time with clean water, if required.
6. Drain all the excess water and wrap the sprouts in a cotton towel or any cloth. Drap it well and leave it untouched.
7. Unwrap it the next day and you’ll find small white sprouts coming out. Keep it wraped until it grows little bigger.
8. Enjoy it like a salad or include it in any other snack option.
