Joker Has Become The Biggest R-Rated Movie So Far

Joker has earned $2.4 million on Thursday, and it earned  a whopping $258.675 million in 21 days. It is expected that it will pass Captain America: The Winter Soldier ($259 million in 2014), The Amazing Spider-Man ($262 million in 2012). The film had already earned $778 million worldwide as of Wednesday, and it has already earned $788.3 million across the globe. With this, they stands above Deadpool ($782.6 million in 2016) and Deadpool 2 ($785.05 million in 2018) and became the biggest R-rated movie of all time, so far.

This is become one the five biggest-grossing R-rated movies in the last three year where  Logan ($619 million in 2017), Deadpool and Deadpool 2 were of superhero flicks. The Deadpool movies were action comedies where only the bad guys died as usual.

Hugh Jackman’s “one last ride” Wolverine story was also explicitly grim and hyperviolent, where it was seen that innocent people had died badly. However, Joker is even less conventional, as it’s not only action but occasionally violent also where supervillain plays like a mix of Taxi Driver, King of Comedy, Death Wish and Observe & Report. Even American Sniper was a comparatively conventional superhero or action hero movie that wrapped up in a nationalistic real-life biopic.

However, there are Marvel and DC comic book movies but if there is a comic property attached, people wouldlove to watch this. There are war movies, sword-n-sandal fantasies, sci-fi flicks, comedies, political thrillers, etc. available. Since, it’s based on the most popular fictional villain, a drama like Joker is certainly going to pass Bohemian Rhapsody ($905 million) to become the biggest drama of all time ever.
