Depression among teenagers and adolescents is common. But, in general, it is the feeling of loneliness and sadness rather than clinical depression. Managing it early can prevent some serious mental illnesses. So, below are some of the lifestyle changes you can make to overcome depression.

  • Stay healthy and exercise

Engaging in regular physical exercises leads to the secretion of a hormone that makes you happy. Hence, you should walk, do strength training, or do any activity of your choice that requires physical movement.

  • Have realistic expectations and goals

Setting unrealistic expectations and goals in puberty can lead to disappointment and lack of confidence. Hence, setting achievable goals is important.

  • Keep life simple

Overcomplicating life and indulging in overwhelming activities can make you feel sad. Keep it simple and find happiness is those little things.
