Majority of Americans do nor consider marriage essential

According to a survey conducted in 2019, more than 50% of Americans didn’t consider marriage as a essential factod to lead fulfilling life.

The results conclude that majority of American men and women considered life to be complete and enjoyable even without marrying.

Most of them would choose career or committed relationships over marrying or having kids.
While some were with the idea that marriage is important but not necessary.

Talking about the statistics, younger people were more with the idea of a fulfilling life without marriage. While, more women than men considered marriage and kids as important and essential.

Marriage is a choice, and not compulsion. We are made to believe that we need someone to spend our lives with. And, that ‘some one’ should be married to us. We are made to realise that we may be lonely and thus marrying will help overcome loneliness.

But, if you really desire to remain single or feel like achieving something we may not be able to if we marry, then we should focus on other things and keep ourselves away from the thoughts of being married ‘
