Melania Trump’s India visit turned into a Pink disaster

Melania Trump, the first lady of US made stunning outfit choices for her maiden visit to India, which later turned into a pink disaster.

The couple was in India for a two-day visit along with daughter Ivanka Trump and husband Jared Kushner.

They left for the US on February 25th, after attending dinner hosted by President Ram Nath Kovind at Rashtrapati Bhavan.
In her two-day visit in India, Melania wore a total of three outfits.

On the first day, when she landed at the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel airport in Ahmedabad, wearing an outfit designed by Herve Pierre.

It was a tailored white jumpsuit paired with a green and gold silk sash. She paired the outfit with white stilettos and kept her hair open, with middle parting.

For her second look, she opted for a Carolina Herrera button-down shirt dress, in white which is her preferred color. Cinching the dress with a wide belt in red, she also paired it with white stilettos, and left her hair open.
Both the dresses managed to impress the eyes waiting for Melania’s visit.

However, for her third outfit, Melania repeated an outfit by designer Carolina Herrera and wore a bubblegum pink sheath gown. The gown featured an exaggerated bow detail which rested on her shoulders and looked like an “overdone tribute to the pallu of a saree”.

It also had a free-flowing silhouette, flowy sleeves, floor-length hemline and a knee-high slit. She paired the outfit with gold jhumkas and silver kitten heels.

The previous two outfits were of her preference for tailored and structured ones, but the third one ended up giving a strange saree look, which is a staple in Indian wardrobes. However, the jhumkas still saved the day!
