“Unlock the Speed” is One Plus’s new Tagline for their New Flagship Killer. With the release of the One Plus 6 earlier this May, the One Plus fans are already head over heels to know more about its successor, the One Plus 6T. This flagship upgrade is going to have more changes than expected that is going to surprise the masses. Now for what everyone has been waiting for, the release date for the Flagship Beast would be mid-October or early November.
The release date rumors go around 16th October as per the latest leaks from trusted sources. With the one plus 6 being released a month earlier than what was confirmed, we can expect the same happening with the One Plus 6T. Amazon have already began setting up teasers for the Beast that is in the making. Now to talk about the changes implemented in the One Plus 6T in view of its Predecessor the One Plus 6.
The biggest change that catches our eye is the “Water droplet Notch”. Yes, it’s confirmed. This upgrade to the one plus 6T has brought the display to 91.5% screen to body ratio from 83.55%. It is also confirmed that there would a difference in the screen size from 6.28 inches to 6.4 inches now. By that we can now conclude that the bottom chin will be tapered quite a bit. I’m astounded to see how far One plus has gone to remain a competition to the premium flagships. Unfortunately, One Plus will continue to roll out its 1080p Amoled displays in the one plus 6T. The reason for this would probably be because of the need to stay at around the same price point.
Another feature which is implemented to the one plus 6T is the “In-display fingerprint sensor”. Don’t be mistaken that this feature is by QUALCOMM. This is the same technology used in the Vivo and Oppo flagships. The In-Display fingerprint technology is a light sensitive fingerprint sensor which can be made possible only on an Amoled display.
No Headphone Jack
Yes, it’s true. Some people despise it, some don’t mind it. One Plus on twitter tweeted “Our aim is to deliver the best overall experience by balancing the design. We are including a USB-C to 3.5mm audio jack adapter in the box with our next device”. The elimination of the Headphone Jack would also mean that One Plus might be working on the IP68 rating as well. Would you want to sacrifice the headphone jack for the IP68 water resistance technology? Let us know in the comment section below.
Now, coming to the pricing, this phone might be priced at around $569 U.S. Dollars. The picture below shows a website named GIZTOP selling the one plus 6T with ever so convincing specs. The One Plus 6T will be using the same chipset as present in the One Plus 6 i.e. Snapdragon 845 SOC coupled with the Adreno 630 GPU. The 6 and 8gb of RAM would not be get any bigger on this update. We won’t be seeing an external shortage option as well. Out of the box, we will continue to have 64/128/256 GB storage options. The One Plus 6T will be running on Oxygen OS based on Android Pie right out of the box.
