OnePlus 7T Officially Revealed!

Everyone knew that there were many rumors based on the designs and specifications of the upcoming OnePlus 7T. But until today, the 17th of September, 2019, these were just mere rumors; although the company, much like Google, ended up supporting the rumors with the official release of the designs.

Also OnePlus has done this ahead of its formal launch event on the 26th of September, 2019. And here is everything you need to know about it. So read on!

OnePlus 7T Officially Revealed!

OnePlus CEO Pete Lau revealed the design in a forum post, which features circular housing for the triple rear cameras. “With perfect symmetry from any orientation, a circular design became the natural choice,” he wrote. “A circle’s rounded edges produce an appealing contrast against the straight lines of a smartphone’s rectangular form for a seamless, balanced feel. After going through over fifty design iterations, we think we’ve landed on something pretty special.

A separate leak from Twitter user Ishan Agarwal reports the exact specs for those three cameras: a 16MP 17mm ultra-wide angle camera with a 117-degree field of vision; a 48MP 26mm wide angle lens at f/1.6; and a 12MP 51mm telephoto lens at f/2.2 with 2x optical zoom. That’s in addition to the rumored Snapdragon 855+ processor and 90Hz display that OnePlus is expected to feature on the 7T.

The design confirms a number of things like the 7T will be getting a triple camera setup inside a circular cutout on the rear panel. The other new feature is the presence of frosted glass-like the OnePlus 7 Pro at the back panel. Sketches of the OnePlus 7T also shows a curved glass design on the front, while the rear panel gets a similar finish. Also in the pipeline is a 90Hz display touted to arrive on the 7T.

Lau’s post doesn’t show off the front of the device, so we don’t have confirmation yet if there’s still some kind of notch or if OnePlus is offering a pop-up camera similar to the OnePlus 7 Pro to cut down on bezels. Presumably, we’ll find out more on September 26th, assuming Lau doesn’t post any more reveals in the coming days.
