Did you plan for an outstation trip but dropped-out due to corona pandemic? And then post-poned it for the summer break, if so, you are confused whether or not to go.
Well, the pandemic is unprecedented, and so we can only ‘hope’ for things to turn better by then. Although, there’s risk involved in it.
But, if at all, you have decided to go for it, here’s what you must keep in mind:
1- Look for a place with less covid-19 patients or better state.
2- Start your search for hotels which are close to the destination, and aren’t traveled much. In case you aren’t comfortable with contact with management, tell them in advance that you want to wave off the lunch services.
3- Carefully read the policy for cancellation , as you may require to cancel or post-pone it in case this become severe.
4- Try to choose a destination near to your home, so you don’t require to visit airport or railways, and drive directly to the place without any stop.
No matter what, the following recommendations by CDC must be paid heed:
1-Stay at least six feet from other people.
2-Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth with your hands.
3-Wash your hands with soap and water often and rigorously for at least 20 seconds.
4-Carry hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol and use that when you don’t have access to soap and water.
5-Wear a cloth face mask when you have to go out in public, like when picking up takeout food.
6-When you check in to a hotel or home rental, clean and distinct frequently touched surfaces, like the work desk, and objects like the coffeemaker and TV remote. Be sure to disinfect the doorknob, light switches, sink faucets and basins, etc. (If you don’t have any disinfectant, you can use a solution with 70% alcohol.)
