Prada picks Bengaluru-based BigThinx for its fashion tech accelerator programme

BigThinx, an entrepreneurial venture by a husband-wife duo was selected by the supreme fashion house- Prada to participate in its maiden fashion tech accelerator program in Milan.

The cofounders of this Bangalore based venture, Shivang Desai and Chandralika Hazarika, have flown out to Milan for the next 6 months to take their journey to the fashion capital of the world.

According to media reports, Hazarika said “They picked top 20 fashion tech companies globally out of 1200 companies and invited us to pitch to their 150 partners for two days. The 150 partners voted at the end of day two to choose the top 10 companies. We were selected as one of them.”

Playing her role as Co-Founder along with Shivang Desai, and as the Managing Director of Bigthinx, Chandralika wanted to come up with tech products that could be universally adopted. And she has excelled in her aspirations.

Her initial steps largely contributed in making the brand, a noted name and get great applauds from users.
One of the highly applauded apps created by her company is the Lyflike app which lets its users create their own customised clothing by keeping a control on the materials, size, lengths, style, fit, mixing and matching.

Milan-based Prada Team’s Startupbootcamp received over1100 packages for its programme based on fashion and technology.
In the program, Prada will engage itself in inspiring, creative process, sketching on new ideas and connections with the selected startups.
