National Mountain Climbing Day is observed every year to motivate people to climb up the mountains and enjoy the thrill and fun. It also acts as a medium to honor Bobby Matthews and his friend Josh Madigan as the duo climbed the 46 high peaks of New York states the Adirondack Mountains.
