Secrets for Glowing and Flawless Skin

Though I completely stand by the fact that ‘Beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder‘, there are days when all you wish for is flawless and glowing skin. Almost all of us at some point in our lives have wished for smooth skin just like many film and television stars have. This also drifts us towards using branded makeup products which are nothing but mixtures of chemicals. However, what many of you don’t know is that the secret to glowing skin of many known personalities is not any costly treatment but simple home remedies combined with a healthy lifestyle.

Listed below are some of the beauty secrets that work like a charm and can help you out with skin struggles.

  • Drinking water

Though many of you might have heard this before, it is of utmost importance that you drink plenty of water in a day not just for bright skin but also for the proper functioning of your body. Water acts as a purifier to the skin and helps in removing dirt and pollutants. It also helps in flushing out toxins from your body giving you clear and healthier skin. Drinking at least 8-10 glasses of water is a must for everyone irrespective of their age.

  • Short Shower

The idea of taking long hot showers sounds very appealing as it helps in relaxing the body. However, your shower time can play a vital role in your mission of achieving radiant skin. Taking long showers that too in hot water is a complete no as it removes the natural oils from the skin thereby making your skin vulnerable and dry. Therefore, you should try to keep your shower time to a maximum of 10-15 minutes. Also, one should prefer cold or lukewarm water instead of hot water.

  • Good Sleep

A beauty sleep of a minimum of 8 hours is all you need to have a fresh and glowing face throughout the day. If you are feeling tired or sleepy it will reflect on your face making it appear dull and lifeless. Therefore, you should make it a habit to have proper sleep at night time so that your skin can have enough time to rejuvenate and heal itself. Also, you would not want to have dark circles under your eyes for not taking adequate rest.
