Not meeting expectations

People battling depression often go through the guilt of not meeting the expectations. They feel bad about not meeting everyone’s expectations with them. Such people also start criticizing themselves for not being what the person expects them to be and not healing at a certain pace.

Bringing mood down

People suffering from depression also go on a guilt trip for spiling the mood of their family or a party due to their health concerns. This is not something that is in their control but they feel bad for putting an end to a merry mood or bringing an end to joylessness. This feeling becomes more strong when you see your immediate family members and loved ones sacrificing their wishes and happiness due to prioritizing your mental health.

Being the center of attraction

People with mental issues feel guilty for having a conversation focused on them. They feel a sense of guilt when the entire focus in them. So they try to minimize the conversations surrounding their own struggles or health. It makes them really awkward when all the conversations are about them only.
