Recently a horrifying incident took place when a trader in Uttar Pradesh (India) found a newborn girl in a dig, who was buried almost three feet below the ground. The man found the newborn while he had gone to inter his daughter, who died right after her born prematurely. The trader, Hitesh Kumar Sirohi, however, rescued the girl from there and fed her milk using cotton. Currently, the girl is admitted to a private hospital.
According to Abhinandan Singh, Superintendent of Police, Sirohi’s wife Vaishali who is a sub-inspector and posted in Bareilly shared further news.
“She was admitted to a private hospital after she complained of labour pain on Wednesday. On Thursday, she gave birth to a seven-month premature girl, who died within a few minutes,” Singh expressed on Sunday.
Sirohi had gone to bury his newborn daughter on Thursday evening, saying, “As the pit was being dug, at a depth of three feet, the spade hit an earthen pot, which was pulled out. There was a baby girl lying in it.”
The girl was alive and breathing heavily and she was rushed to the district hospital after that. Although the details of the girl’s parents have not been identified who had attempted to bury her alive.
“As of now, her life has been saved. We are trying to trace the girl’s mother,” he further added.
Meanwhile, Vineet Shukla, the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) of Bareilly said that Bithari Chainpur MLA Rajesh Mishra took the responsibility for the newborn girl’s treatment.
“On Saturday, the girl was referred to a higher centre with better and more medical facilities. Her condition has improved,” the CMO shared later.
However, a probe was launched to ascertain who had buried the newborn alive, said Shailendra Pandey, the Senior Superintendent of Police.
