Who are the Top 10 Richest Actors in the Hollywood Industry

A bankable leading man is still one of Hollywood’s surest bets and can help sell a movie. While the lucrative twenty-twenty deal ($20 million upfront and 20% of gross profit) doled out to big stars may be more or less gone, Hollywood still has its big-money brands, those actors who can promise an audience so big that they command not only an eight-figure salary to show up on set but also a decent chunk of a film’s nebulous “pool”—or the money left over after some but not all of the bills are paid.

Denzel Washington

Not only is Denzel Washington one of the coolest actors in Hollywood, he’s also one of the richest, worth $220 million dollars. Washington is well known for playing roles in Man on Fire,  American gangster, The Book of Eli and Training Day. Still going strong, Denzel will have no problem reaching the $400 million dollar range by the time he finishes his career.

Brad Pitt

Brad Pitt is not only lucky because he married two of the sexiest women on the planet.  But he’s also managed to bag the right roles in order to enjoy a $240 million bank balance. There is no doubt about it – Brad Pitt is a remarkable actor. He’s played roles in a number of films exceptionally well including Seven, Snatch, Ocean’s 11 and Fight Club. Thanks to his most recent film, Fury – Brad Pitt is now ranked as the 18th richest actor in Hollywood.

Leonardo DiCaprio

At number 17, Leonardo DiCaprio has undertaken roles in some of our most favorite films including Blood Diamonds, Gangs of New York and The Departed. Leonardo DiCaprio was paid $59 million dollars for a single role in the film Inception, making him the 17th richest actor in Hollywood.

Robert Downey Jr

Robert Downey Jr has made a very successful career for himself, according to rolling stone Robert Downey Jr conforms being paid $50 million dollars alone for his portrayal of the fictional character, Iron Man. He’s also known for playing eccentric characters, such as the part of the detective in Sherlock Holmes

Arnold Schwarzenegger

Coming in at number 12 is Arnold Schwarzenegger. Arnie started his career in Australia as a bodybuilder and went onto the big screen to play Conan the Barbarian in 1982. He then starred in Terminator and a number of other successful films including Commando, Running Man and Predator. Arnold Schwarzenegger’s success as an actor has no doubt assisted him to win the election in 2003 for Governor of California.

Will Smith

From the early days of the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air to the widely admired and respected Hollywood actor, Will Smith is ranked number 12 at a worth of $310 million dollars. Out of 21 films Smith has starred in, 17 of those grossed over $500 million dollars each. His career exploded with Independence Day, followed by Men in Black, Enemy of the State and Ali. Despite Will Smith turning down the role of Neo in The Matrix, a move Smith is reported to have seriously regretted, Smith is still ranked one of the highest paid actors in Hollywood with his average earning per film at $20 to $30 million dollars.

Keanu Reeves

Keanu Reeves is one of the richest actors in Hollywood. He’s best known for his portrayal of Neo in the Matrix films – earning  over $100 million dollars for just one film (Matrix Reloaded). Also starring in The Devil’s Advocate and John Wick, at 53 years of age, Keanu Reeves has yet still to surpass his record. We’d estimate he’ll make himself a tidy $500 million dollars before he wraps up his career.

Sylvester Stallone

Sylvester Stallone is best known for his films such as Rocky Balboa, Rambo and the Untouchables.  Stallone wrote the majority of the films he acted in, earning himself $400 million at the age of 71.

Johnny Depp

Johnny Depp is one of the richest actors in Hollywood, worth $430 million dollars.  He’s done an array of different films, probably best known for his role as Captain Jack Sparrow in The Pirates of the Caribbean (for which he received $55 million dollars alone). He often plays quite quirky characters, attracting an average of $30 million pounds per film. At only 55 years of age, Johnny Depp is set to double his earnings by the end of his career.

Tom Cruise

First place goes to Tom Cruise who is worth a whopping $550 million dollars. He’s enjoyed a long and successful career and, at only 55, we know there’s a lot more to come. Cruise is known for his roles in Top Gun, Cocktail, War of the Worlds, and Mission Impossible. Combined, Cruise earned in excess of $200 million dollars for his roles in War of the Worlds and Mission Impossible. We’re sure $550 million dollars is more than enough for him to retire on, but at 55 years of age he still has a great deal of career left in him. We wouldn’t be surprised if he topped $800 million over the duration of his entire career.
